Office dust concern
Richard wanted to ensure that the air conditioning system that serviced his offices was not a source of airborne dust in the work environment. Although previous investigation had found the ducts to be fairly clean, he asked Building Wellness to conduct an assessment of the particulate levels in the workplace air to ensure that they were within safety guidelines.

Test results

Testing fould that respirable particulate (PM10) levels in all sections of the workplace were well within the Australian Air Quality Standard. While there is no standard for ultrafine particulate exposure, levels in all sections of the workplace were within the range normally found in indoor environments and were significantly less than the outdoor levels.

Outcome

The finding that respirable and ultrafine particulate levels in the workplace were acceptable provided peace of mind for Richard and his staff.
